The existence of the Meridian System has been proven in a number of studies – most notably at the Necker Hospital in Paris where, in conjunction with the Cytology Laboratory of the Military Hospital, harmless radioactive tracers were injected into acupuncture points (acupoints) and their disbursement or migration was tracked using a gamma camera.
Studies found those tracer migrations from acupoints followed the exact same pathways as those mapped out by Doctors of Chinese Traditional Medicine thousands of years ago. The results confmn that these pathways are entirely different from vascular and lymphatic pathways.
Not only this, but it was also shown that the tracers migrated more slowly in the meridian of a diseased organ than that of a healthy one. This concurs with the premise that Meridians are carriers of information necessary for good health.
